H. Thompson King, III was named President of Hanover Iron Works, Inc. in 1982.  He joined the firm in 1973, representing a fourth generation succession of the founders of the company.  He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from North Carolina State University and a Masters Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Hanover Iron Works, Inc. specializes in metal fabrication and roofing.  Mr. King is a native of Wilmington, North Carolina.  He has served as President of Carolina Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association, the New Hanover County Airport Authority and was Vice President of the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce.  He currently serves as a trustee on the Self Insurers Fund of the Carolina Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association.  Director since 1990.
